How to Select the Correct Filter Press Plate Size

Calculate required filter area — based on daily solids load (kg DS/day), target cycle time and cake dry solids content
Choose plate dimensions — larger plates mean fewer plates for same area; smaller plates suit compact equipment
Confirm cake thickness — cavities from 25–50mm; affects volume per cycle and filtration time
Match to existing press — verify handle/lug style, feed hole position, corner ports and plate count
heck pressure & material — PP for standard duty; GFPP/PVDF/metal for high pressure, high temp or corrosive service
