What Is a Rubber Membrane Plate?
- Lower cake moisture content after squeezing
- Shorter filtration cycle per batch
- More uniform cake for easier discharge
- Replaceable diaphragm — only the membrane needs replacement when worn

Replaceable Membrane Advantage
Unlike welded PP membrane plates where the diaphragm is fused permanently to the plate body, HUSTON rubber membrane plates use a clamped or groove-seated rubber diaphragm that can be removed and replaced independently.
- Reduced spare parts cost — replace only the worn membrane, not the full plate
- Minimal downtime — membrane replacement is faster than whole-plate changeout
- Material flexibility — choose EPDM, NBR, TPE or FKM to match your slurry chemistry, temperature and pH
- Extended plate body service life — PP or PVDF bodies remain in service through multiple membrane cycles

Custom Rubber Membrane Plates
Many clients come to HUSTON not for new equipment, but to replace aging rubber membrane plates in existing presses. We support both scenarios:
- OEM-compatible replacement: Provide original drawings, a sample plate or key dimensions. We match press geometry, handle style, feed hole position and sealing configuration.
- Fully custom design: New press builds or process changes with specific chamber depth, drainage pattern, squeeze pressure rating or specialty membrane material.
- Mold tooling for special profiles: For non-standard geometries, HUSTON can develop new molds in-house.
